Deleting your Aum Fe account

Step by step, exactly what deleting your Aum Fe account does: the 30-day grace period, which data is erased, and which records are kept afterwards.

Read in 4 minUpdated 11 Sep 2026For everyone

It’s a 30-day grace period, not instant deletion

Pressing Delete account in Settings does not erase your data straight away. Aum Fe sets the deletion for 30 days later and flags your account as pending. For those 30 days, your profile, listings, bookings and history stay exactly as they are.

Step by step

  1. You tap Delete account and confirm in the dialog. The app calls Aum Fe’s servers to schedule the deletion; if that call fails, you’ll see an error and your account is not scheduled — nothing silently happens in the background.
  2. You’re signed out. Your sign-in is not deleted at this point — it’s kept intact on purpose, specifically so you can sign back in and reactivate during the grace window.
  3. The 30-day clock runs. Your account, content and history stay exactly as they were.
  4. If you sign back in during those 30 days, Aum Fe checks for a pending deletion on every login (Google or email code) and tells you the account is scheduled for deletion. You’re offered the choice to reactivate — cancelling the deletion — or to stay signed out and let it proceed. If you sign back in during the grace period and aren’t shown this choice, email support (@) aumfe.com straight away so the deletion can be cancelled for you.
  5. If the 30 days pass with no reactivation, the deletion cascade runs and removes your data from Aum Fe’s systems, as described below.

What is removed after the 30 days

Once the grace period elapses, Aum Fe deletes your profile, settings, uploaded media and files, message inbox, follows/blocks/mutes, push tokens, community memberships, verification status, calendar connections, marketplace listings and creator profile, your login account, and your analytics identity, among other stores tied to your account.

What is kept on purpose — this is not a bug

Some things are intentionally not deleted, usually with your identity scrubbed from them so they can no longer be traced to you:

  • Your wallet/transaction ledger is kept for financial record-keeping, with your details anonymised. Any unused token balance left when the grace period ends is forfeited, so withdraw what you can first. If tokens are held in escrow for an unfinished booking, the whole deletion waits until that booking is resolved.
  • Bookings and calendar events you had with other people are kept, with your identifier replaced so the other party’s and finance records still work.
  • Reviews you wrote are kept, shown as posted by a deleted user.
  • Reports filed against you by other people are kept — only reports you filed against others are removed.
  • Messages the other person already received stay in their inbox; only your own copy is purged.
  • If your account is under a legal hold (for example a serious-harm report we’re required to preserve), deletion is paused for as long as the law requires.

Your biometric / liveness data specifically

Your liveness verification evidence is not wiped the instant you request deletion. It isn’t touched during the 30-day grace period, so if you reactivate you keep your verification; after that it’s destroyed on the schedule in the retention policy, which for some users is later than the 30 days.

What might not be fully automatic yet

Aum Fe’s deletion process cascades across many separate systems, and a couple of things are worth knowing plainly rather than assuming:

  • If you’ve used Aum Fe under more than one account identifier over time (for example after changing sign-in providers), data saved under an older identifier that the system no longer recognises as “you” may not be caught by the automatic cascade.
  • Some connected external services are cleaned up on a best-effort, retrying basis rather than instantly, so a brief lag before everything disappears everywhere is normal.

If you want confirmation that your data was fully removed, or you believe something was left behind after your 30-day grace period ended, don’t assume it will resolve itself — ask us directly.

Ask for a manual check or purge

Email privacy (@) aumfe.com with your account email and what you’d like checked or removed. This is the right route for confirming a deletion actually completed, or flagging data you believe is still hanging around after your grace period ended. See Report a problem for what to include and the timelines we work to.

Changed your mind before you even deleted?

If you haven’t tapped delete yet, there’s nothing to undo. If you have, and you’re still inside the 30-day window, simply signing back in is enough — you’ll be offered the chance to cancel the deletion right there.

Is my account deleted the moment I tap Delete?

No — deletion is scheduled 30 days out. Your account and data stay untouched until the grace period ends, unless you cancel it first.

How do I cancel a deletion I've already started?

Just sign back in before the 30 days are up — Aum Fe will show you the grace period is running and offer to reactivate your account.

Can I get things purged sooner, or check they were actually removed?

Email privacy (@) aumfe.com with your account email and what you'd like checked or removed. For a formal complaint, see our Grievance Redressal page.
